"The Watts Will Wake Up Your Aural Senses," Spartanburg Herald-Journal writer Dan Armonaitis pens about the band in advance of our last appearance at Rock Water Tavern. The evening featured back-to-back performances by The Watts and Gypsy Souls, who set up side-by-side on a stormy night, and the evening culminated with a one-of-kind impromptu jam/ simultaneous perfomance by both bands, dubbed "The GypsyWatts" which featured nine musicians and an ultra-funky New Orleans-style set which launched the intimate crowd on hand into a frenzy, and immediately became a new chapter in Spartanburg's musical folklore.
